Training Course TOGAF®
General

As an internationally recognized standard for architecture modeling, ArchiMate® allows the use of a common language for describing and visualizing architectures across different layers. ArchiMate® covers business, application, and technology architecture, and complements these with motivation and strategy elements (such as goals and capabilities), physical elements (such as facilities and materials), and transformation planning elements (e.g., projects, gaps).
We are a member of The Open Group's ArchiMate® Forum and participate in the ongoing development of ArchiMate®. In addition, we have been using ArchiMate® in projects for many years, so we can also speak from our own experience.
Course Content
During the training you will learn the structure and basic concepts of the ArchiMate® framework and how to apply them in practice. In addition, the course covers possible uses within the organization and typical application scenarios. The content of the course includes the following topics:
- Overview and structure of the ArchiMate® framework
- Elements of the ArchiMate® Core (Business, Application, Technology)
- ArchiMate® relationships
- Elements of additional ArchiMate® layers (e.g., Strategy)
- Mechanisms for language customization
- Good Practices for introduction and use of ArchiMate®
- Appplication of ArchiMate® based on practical scenarios incl. discussion and evaluation of alternative modeling approaches
This course prepares you for the ArchiMate® 3 Part 1 (Foundation) and ArchiMate® 3 Part 2 (Practitioner) certification exams.

Trainer
René Hamacher is a freelance EA consultant and trainer. He is one of the most experienced TOGAF® and ArchiMate® trainers within Germany and conducts these trainings for Scape on an exclusive basis. Before turning to EA consulting and training, Mr. Hamacher worked for many years as an Enterprise Architect, Project Manager und Developer for a leading financial services provider. He holds a diploma (FH) in Computer Science from University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt.
