Training Course ArchiMate® 3.2

Preparation for ArchiMate® 3 Foundation + Practitioner Exams

As an internationally recognized standard for architecture modeling, ArchiMate® allows for the use of a common language for the description and visualization of architectures across different layers. ArchiMate® comprises business, application, and technology architecture elements, and complements this core with motivational and strategic elements (like goals and capabilities), physical elements (like facilities and material) as well as elements for transformation planning (e.g., projects, gaps).

We are member of the ArchiMate® Forum in The Open Group and are involved in the evolution of ArchiMate®. Through the practical use of ArchiMate® in various projects we speak from experience in our training courses.

Course Content

In this training course you get to know the structure and fundamental concepts of the ArchiMate® framework and learn how to apply these in practice. In addition this course offers a multifaceted examination of the use of the language and aims at strengthening and refining the understanding of the modeling practice with ArchiMate®. Specifically, the course deals with the following topics:

  • Overview and structure of the ArchiMate® framework
  • Elements of the ArchiMate® Core (Business, Application, Technology)
  • ArchiMate® relationships
  • Elements of further ArchiMate® layers (e.g., Strategy)
  • Mechanisms for language customization
  • Good Practices for introduction and use of ArchiMate®
  • Appplication of ArchiMate® based on practical scenarios incl. discussion and evaluation of alternative modeling approaches

This training supports you in prepration for the ArchiMate® 3 Part 1 (Foundation) and ArchiMate® 3 Part 2 (Practitioner) exams.

Participation in a public training includes the Dinner & Network event. Here you have the opportunity to exchange ideas with other architects in a pleasant atmosphere and to review the day.
